I tried to be as detailed as possible with how i use each product or why I am trying it. I really narrowed it down to the ones that I truly love and am restocking or products I’ve read great reviews on and have been dying to try!
From Left to Right starting on top
BEAUTY MUST HAVES
Tom Ford Cream Powder Eyeshadow: LOVE! I use this a base and the shimmer powder in the middle of the eye for a pop! It’s perfect for summer for easy daytime makeup and doesn’t crease! I take this for sure on summer travel! And this copper color is SO good for green, blue eyes and for a smokey vive for my brown eyed girls!
Laura Mercier Rose Gold Caviar Stick: I use this on the inside of my eyes for a little bright pop and i will dab on my cupids bow for a perfect pout!
Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow: This is what i use for contouring and to highlight my cheek bones. The luminance isn’t glittery so looks really pretty and natural. Both powders are such a nice glowy consistency.
Nars Orgasm Palette: I just bought this because I was at Erica’s place and tried and LOVED! So pretty and you can use on eyes, lips and cheeks!
Sephora Brush Set: I was majorly time for me to invest in new brushes! I wanted somthing that included a case so I could quickly pack them up for travel. I bought this rose gold version and this on too and when they arrive I’ll decide which I’ll keep.
Glass and Metal Organizer: OK this isn’t from Sephora but I love it and you need something pretty to keep all you new goodies right!
L’Acome Monsiour Big Mascara: Ok ladies this is not the mascara for the natural girl! BIG BOLD LASHES! I love it, but I like a really bold lash and I also use this drugstore primer and I’ve found nothing better!
Urban Decay Lip Mousse: I love a bitten lip that’s a little undone, think teenage lips! ;) This gives just that, it’s matte so I’ll use on it’s own or if I want a softer look I’ll top with a balm. But the color is the perfect berry that makes my skin pop! A little goes a long way!
Charlotte Tilbury Color Chameleon Pencil: This is my favorite lazy girl makeup trick! I smudge it half way up my lid and along my nbottom lash line then take a brush and blend. It’s the perfect amount of color for daytime and for night I’ll layer shadow on top of that! I use color Amber Haze for my green eyes!
Tom Ford Lipstick: I love anything TOM FORD, the packaging is so luxe and the quality is gorgeous. There’s nothing I hate more then a lipstick having that weird toxic taste or it drying my lips. These are not cheap but the best! I wear Indian Rose for a perfect cooler pink and Bare Peach for warmer days.
Urban Decay Born To Run Palette: This palette is gorgeous and super versatile! I use some of the darker as liners too! Really Urban has some of the best quality shadows at great pricing. I usually pick up 1 or 2 of their seasonal palettes and it lasts me the entire year!
Beauty Blenders: I recently watched some you tube videos from Kim Kardashians makeup artist and one of the tips he gave was to use a different Beauty Blender fro each foundation, concealer and your cream contours! OOPS! I have been using the same one for everything and it could explain why sometimes thing look a little muddy!
Gau Sha Rose Quartz Tool: I’ve been dying to try these and I’ve been dealing with some water retention so this is supposed to really sculpt and lift the face!
Peter Thomas Roth 24K Masque: This is my secret to extra glow! I use this the night of big events or photoshoots to make my skin look luminous and youthful.
Lancer Method Polish: I love this polish and especially use it the day before self tanning. I really concentrate it in the areas like the nose for those stubborn pores and my chin! And then go gentle on the rest of my face.
Skinfix Hand Repair Cream: You girls have heard me rave a bout this hand cream and I literally can’t live without it! I have a tube everywhere in my house!
Drunken Elephant Kit: I have heard so many things about this brand that I wanted to try it fully so I bought this little kit and I’m on day 3 and loving! I especially love the gek cleanser and the peel.
St. Tropez Face Mist: OK you know I am a die hard self tanner! I love Tan Luxe for my face because it’s so easy and efficient. I just mix 2 drop into my moisturizer every pother night and I wake up with a subtle glow! On the body I use St Tropez dark especially when I want a really deep tan! On occasion I will do my fave too but it’s for REAL dark days! I apply and let it sit for 2-3hrs and then jump in the shower and rinse off, I use a grey towel just for these days. NO SOAP! Tanning Tip: I make sure to exfoliate and shave the day/night before. I also love European Wax Glow Lotion (sorry can’t link) for beach days when i also want the pretty blur effect that helps camouflage the dimples! ;) It’s perfect when I want to show off my shoulders or legs with that glow too. OK now where does St. Tropez Mist come in you ask?! One problem I always struggled with is my hands and my feet! They fade so fast from hand washing and wearing shoes and it drives me crazy! In pics my feet and hands looked like i was wearing gloves! This product was my fix, it’s supposed to be for face but I didn’t love it that way; what I do is spritz my hands and feet every other morning and this keeps my tan even on my entire body! No more looking like I wore socks and gloves to the beach! HA! :) . Spray let dry and go on upon your day because it’s clear and smells great!
TOM FORD Candle: Ok i’m sorry but to know me is to love me and this candle just speaks to me! AND smells amazing! Not cheap but I had to have it! ;)
Peace our Dark Spots: If you follow my stories on Instagram you know I’ve been breaking out lately and it’s been really bringing down my mojo! I think I’m past the breakout but it’s left me with all these dark spots that I have to conceal, annoying! I saw these and thought why not, they’re supposed to brighten the spots and helps them heal faster! Heck yes! I also bought these for future break outs and figure it will help me NOT pick!
HAIR, TOOLS & HEALTH
Four Sigmatic Sampler: If you haven’t gotten on the mushroom bandwagon this is a great way to start! I love these elixirs and coffees. I like to have two coffees per day but the calories, sugar and benefits aren’t great so this was a great option! It gives me the jump I need for that afternoon slump but it had health benefits, gentler on the stomach and doesn’t give me the jitters. I also LOVE the sleep time one, I’m not waking up or having that restless sleep like I used to!
Face Razors: Yes ladies I shave my face! I’ve been doing so for years and love these little razors. My makeup goes on like a dream and you can read more about how and the rest of my skin routine here too.
Tweezeman Mini Nail Rescue Kit: I have the old version of this and I keep it in my desk drawer and i swear it is the most satisfying this i can do for my nails! I seriously use it every day to push my my cuticles, trim dry skin (gross but LOVE).
T3 Twirl: This is such a good deal and with the additional Sephora discount it’s the perfect timing if you’ve been wanting one. I use mine daily to do my loose, messy waves.
Vital Proteins: I add a scoop of this to my coffee everyday! Keeps nails and hair strong and collagen production in the skin. I can use all the help i can get! ;)
Dry Bar The Kicker: I use this on my ends to give me that bedroom piecey hair! I’d say it’s for med to think hair if your hair is fine just use on your ends and a little goes a long way.
Dyson Hair Dryer: I don’t have one of these yet but I think I need to invest because everyone RAVES! It’s supposed to cut your dry time in half an no damage! This deal is a steal because you get the accessories for free!
The Ouai Leave In: Since I was diagnosed with Hashimotos the medications I have to take have wrecked my hair! I got this because it doesn’t weigh down my hair but still protects and leaves it soft!
Hi ladies! I am so excited to share this post all about my recent visit to Iceland! To be honest I am not a super outdoorsy person and I left Alaska for a reason, I do NOT like the cold so Iceland wasn’t really on my radar of places to visit. BUT of course I have seen all the magical photos, the black lava beaches, the wild horses, I mean Game of Thrones is filmed there! And of course let’s not forget The Blue Lagoon!
As you girls know Erica my bestie from Fashioned Chic Styling and I help each other out with projects and trips. So when she asked if I could go with her to Iceland and help her of course said yes! I mean when am I getting another chance right?! While I was there I took the opportunity to shoot some new exclusive spring pieces from my favorite retailer Intermix, with the stunning background of the Blue Lagoon! Yes that is the actual color of the lagoon!
I decided to go with some super high rise white flares to change things up a bit and loved the unique flattering design. White jeans are hard to pull off but a flare is the perfect option for white.
Style Tip: When styling white jeans I always go up a size so that the fit is a bit looser on the thighs and bum. Also opt for a high rise! Way more flattering and lengthening!
Of course I had to add this Blondie tee to give a little rock and roll edge. I can’t get enough band tees! Then I finished my look with this gorgeous cropped cardigan. I fell in love with the color and also thought it’s be so chic over a simple black slip dress for cocktails. Lastly I added these rose gold pumps to peep out of my flares for a finishing touch. All these pieces are exclusive to Intermix so they’re super special and limited in quantities. Meaning you won’t see everyone else rocking the same pieces, love that! :)
Now back to my stay in Iceland. We stayed at the beautiful The Retreat at Blue Lagoon Resort and this place is nothing short of magical! Seriously this is probably the most impressive place I have ever stayed at! This modern gem is literally in the Blue Lagoon and boasts one of the most incredible spas I have even been too. Modern design and every detail worth the price.
I would definitely say that if you want to experience the Blue Lagoon the only way to do so is either staying at The Retreat or at their more affordable sister property The Silica Hotel because they are literally ON the blue lagoon and all their amenities are designed to enjoy the lagoon and intergrated into the spa.
Speaking of the spa, if you visit you have to do the In Water signature Massage, you are literally flaoting in the Blue Lagoon while getting a full body massage! Incredible! Then spend the rest of the day indulging in the Blue Lagoon Ritual; a three step self treatment and all the spa amenities.
We ate at The Lava Restaurant that is one of the most unique fine dining experiences I’ve had and ate Birch juniper cured arctic char and Liquorice, skyr ice cream, super yum!
Also try the Spa Restaurant for light healthy food.
This was such a short trip that I wish I could have done so much more. But it will just have to wait until my next visit and there will be a next visit! Just maybe in the Spring or summer next time! ;)
Thank you Intermix for sponsoring this post.
Neon is Back in Action
Hey ladies! A trend for the spring that I am absolutely loving is the neon trend!!! I have been pleasantly surprised at how many creative ways there are to style fluorescent colors - and you do NOT have to look like a highlighter!! There are plenty of ways to ease bright colors into your wardrobe while remaining loyal to your personal style. I think sometimes we shy away from trends that feel “out there”, even if we like the way other people are wearing them. Cut that comparison out, gals!!! Don’t be afraid to get creative with it. Start small and find things that you’re comfortable in. Before you know it your wardrobe will be expanding in ways you never expected it to, but you’ll love having fun. Trying new things doesn’t have to be so intimidating!!
We have had lots of these funky San Diego days recently where it’s all blue skies and sunny, but that breeze is coooold. My SoCal babes know what I’m talking about…it’s all fun and games until you’re shivering on your walk to grab coffee, ha! I was bummed that it wasn’t super warm outside but I found a way to make the weather work for me: transition. pieces. And what’s better than a cutout sweater?! Such a great spring option, perfect for girls’ night out, date night, and everything in between. I love the classic neutral grey because it lets my favorite part about this look steal the show…
Pops of Color
A super easy and fun way to add some color to your life is through accented accessories…my obvious favorite being SHOES. I mean, any excuse to grab a new pair, am I right?! These pumps are sooo freakin’ good. With the neon and vinyl together, so many retro vibes — too fun! Other fun options for adding bright pinks, blues, greens, oranges, whatever to your wardrobe: knits, bags, even swimwear is a great way to ease in!
Balance it Out
When you’re a neutrals girl at heart, it can help to balance out bright statement pieces with slightly tamer pieces. I love a good clean blue jean to keep things classy - leave it to Annie Bing to make quite possibly the most flattering denim evahhhhh. They are super high rise, such everything in but are a bit more relaxed then a traditional skinny. AND it’s really hard for me to find a dark blue wash I love, this one is so good! So easy to pair these jeans with just about anything!!!
Hi, friends! With the weather being so unpredictable and so in that awkward spot between spring and summer, I am ALL about transition pieces and light sweaters are just that. Honestly, when I am not sure what to wear these days, the easiest thing to reach for is a light spring knit. For today’s post I’m sharing how to style Spring Pastels two ways with one of my favorite knitwear brands 525 America! They’ve been in the sweater business for nearly forty years and it SHOWS, here’s a previous post with one of my other favorite 525 Sweaters. I love shopping for pieces from brands who are experts in whatever I’m looking for because I know I’m getting quality and true bang for my buck. Their selection is really diverse - so much sweater goodness!
Pastels are trending in full force this spring and it can be tricky to figure out how to style lighter shades of color in ways that still feel true to your style, especially if you tend to be a neutrals/black & white gal! Sweaters are a super simple way to incorporate pastels and bonus - they’re the ultimate transition piece.
Pastel Pink Gone Edgy
As a brand, 525 America has continued to evolve with the trends while continuing to hold their niche in the knitwear market. They’ve got the classics covered but then they always surprise us with fun little numbers like this pink knit! And ladies, notice this sweater is reversible!!! I’m wearing it both ways in these pics! I love the versatility of a reversible piece and I think both ways look amazing...there’s a drapiness to the silhouette that looks so pretty on everyone. A little shoulder and clavicle moment never hurts! ;)
I am all about styling colors with an edgier twist so I added a pop of dark lace with this bralette (ON SALE limited time) and some of my favorite ripped skinnies. Another way to play up pastels is to add texture, which is why the fringe neckline is perfect. I grabbed some snakeskin sandals to really chic things up. This look is totally girls’ night out approved but you could also grab your favorite flats and be good to go!!

For my second pastel spin I paired these seafoam skinnies with this cotton wide knit sweater and love the textures together. This look is definitely my Sunday family day look. Would also be a cute Easter look for those casual BBQ’s! I paired the look with these espadrilles that are SO soft! Super comfortable and a great Chanel dupe right!?

Hi Ladies! I am back from my travels and so excited to share this post with you! One thing I am really passionate about is celebrating diversity. I’m joining Walmart today to share a some favorite affordable finds that are at reach to anyone! Pieces that I feel confident in and that come at a great price AND at a multitude of sizes! Walmart is one of those brands that has been woven into the history of America, I can remember it from when I was a kid and now they are worldwide!
I am a strong believer that fashion is a fantastic way to celebrate our differences as well as the things that bring us together. We each have our own personal style and ways of expressing ourselves through the things we wear. It can feel intimidating and overwhelming to try to build your wardrobe and sort through all the brands out there...and it’s just not realistic to have a wardrobe completely made up of investment and designer pieces.
All that being said, I am really really excited about what Walmart is doing to make original, on-trend styles accessible to everyone! Everyone can feel good (like super good) about their prices, and I have been blown away by how many quality looks I’ve found - I had such a hard time narrowing it down! I mean, you guys, who could turn down Levi’s for $39?!?? For real, Walmart Fashion is stepping it up and has a highly curated selection of pieces that you’ll love and save money on.
The military/utilitarian trend is so in this spring and I’m all over it. I grabbed this super lightweight trench coat (hellooo, it’s on super sale!!!) - so good, right??! The length, the structure, the color...everything. I love it. It’s a fantastic transition piece and a super easy outer layer for pretty much any outfit. We still get a few of those rainy days here and there in San Diego as we roll into summer so it’s nice to have a jacket on hand because the temps can change pretty rapidly!
Like I mentioned earlier, I had to snatch these Levi’s right up. $40 bucks, are you kidding me??! FYI I bought these in a different wash from another retailer for over $90! What! And they’re the real deal. I love a good dark black super high rise skinny jean. I think the thing I appreciate most about shopping with Walmart is that they have tonssss of size options.
Style Tip: I ordered a shorter size because I love jeans that hit right above the ankle - super flattering and leg-lengthening. For reference I got the 25/28 size.
Who doesn’t love legs for dayssss, ha. You’ll love these clean black wash babies!
Thank you Walmart for Sponsoring this post
Hey, ladies! Spring is in full swing around here which means wardrobe refreshing time! It can be tricky to shop spring and summer as a working woman because business casual brings to mind pantsuits and trousers. Totally NOT me! But I am so jazzed about what Express has to offer this season - their pieces are so versatile and wearable no matter what’s on your agenda!
The fabulous thing about Express is that they are seeking to go above and beyond in the fashion industry by living out their values. I absolutely love their celebration of Women’s Empowerment Month... they are exemplifying what it means to really put our best foot forward and give our all no matter what our passions are in life.
As a woman in a field that often feels highly competitive and overcrowded, I was so encouraged by their call for unity - ‘Women Together’ is what their new campaign is centered around and I think it’s perfect for the times we are living in. With that in mind, I want to recognize that, as women, we need to stick together, celebrate each other’s successes, give of our time with no expectations and be inclusive of every walk of life. Being the best version of ourselves doesn’t mean we need to tear each other down in the process. We ARE a village and strength comes from community. Most of the deep friendships and bonds i have with women have been born out of giving and supporting each other! I am so grateful for those bonds, without my women tribe it wouldn’t be possible to live this dream.
Whether you are a working woman, an entrepreneur, a stay-at-home momma or anything in between, the value we bring to this world as women is so much stronger when we stand together rather than always playing that comparison game! Trust me it’s hard not to do. It’s tough in the fashion world but I believe it’s doable, and Express is reminding us all of that truth.
Speaking of work...‘effortless’ is my middle name these days because my schedule has been so hectic juggling all my roles. Those more polished throw-on-and-go pieces are essential because (unfortunately) we can’t wear sweatpants and hoodies all the time. I was so amazed at how many amazing one-and-done pieces Express is bringing into the mix!!
If you’re like me and you love to elevate basics, look no further because they have both the basics and the fun, edgy pieces we love.
I am calling it right now - Expess’s casual-yet-structured vibe is the new workwear. They have so many good pieces that allow you to follow the rules of the office without sacrificing your personal style. Springtime in San Diego can still be a little breezy so I love the idea of pairing a skirt with layers (they have tons!). This green number has the best details - I love the double breasted look and the tie waist is so flattering on all kinds of figures. The length is perfect because it can be worn super high waisted for a more mini length, or wear it right at the hips and it’s totally work-appropriate. Talk about transitionable! It’s got that tomgirl look that I love. I went with a super basic but super flattering black tank and a boyfriends blazer in black is the new black, right (ha)?! You just can’t go wrong. To finish off the look, I went with a western boot vibe because let’s keep it unexpected and add some edge! Get the look with these insane pair! If your work is a little more laid back, you could also pair with a fun graphic tee or a simple crisp white tee would look awesome as well.
Express is for real, ladies - I am feeling excited about adding more work wear looks to the blog per your request! Just in case you’re not yet convinced, I have a treat for you guys! I’m giving you a Ring Code (8137) for $25 off $100, in-store and online! What a steal, right??! Enjoy and let me know what you pick up!
Hi ladies! One of the topics I get most asked about is blogging. How did I start? How does it work? To be honest it feels like I started yesterday and like still on most days don’t know what I am doing. I’m not complaining, I am SO grateful for all the amazing opportunities is has given me BUT it’s not always glamorous or easy and I want to paint a full picture and share some of the not so pretty details. So when the iconic Steve Madden came to me for this post with the question of “What Drives You” it really got me thinking about my blogging journey and why I am still at it.
I work crazy long days, actually as I type this it is past 2am and i’ve been up working since 8am. This is my normal schedule at least 5-6 days a week. I sit in front of a computer or in front of my phone for more hours then I care to admit. I am constantly feeling like I am failing the juggle of parenting, home maker and the best wife I can be because I work so much. I deal with pesky self doubt and try to push away the urge to compare myself to my peers and their accomplishments all the time. I literally have an internal calendar that is always on RED with deadlines and the 20 things I am supposed to be responding to at all times. The travel however incredible gives me SO much guilt about all the moments I am missing out on with my kids and husband.
So why do i keep at it??
First of all I have loved fashion since I could remember! I used to sketch city scapes with paper dolls dressed in the fashion of my imagination when I was just 9 or 10. I remember I used to draw them into New York city scapes, always a city girl at heart! Now I take pictures in edgy city vibes even though I live in a total beach community! Ha funny how you manifest life! Ok, fast forward, eventually friends and then referrals started asking me to style them and I loved being able to help them and make them feel confident! I still get messages from women all over asking for me to virtually style them or help them decide on a purchase, I love that you ladies value my opinion! A major driving force for my every outfit and partnership is will my followers love it! Will it make them feel strong, confident and help them take on the day!
BUT there is another reason. I had a really unstable upbringing financially. We moved a LOT, lived paycheck to paycheck and there was periods of our lives when we lived with family because we couldn’t afford not to. My mom was a single mom who did the best she could. So for me it’s not just financial independence but more importantly STABILITY. It is so important to me to have and provide a secure future for my family! To provide the experiences that I did not have and to model hard work is what gives you the reward. Let’s also be honest, who knows how long this blogging phenomenon will last so I have to work as much and as hard as I can to sure I secure our future!
Did you know that when Steve Madden started his company he drove around NYC selling his shoes out of the trunk of his car!? I love that so much, it humanizes this iconic brand and shows that anything is possible with drive and hard work!
Now what drives you?! I’d love to know what are some of the hopes and dreams you are working to fulfill and how you stay driven on your journey?!
Now let’s talk about these insanely good pumps! I am legit obsessed with these spiked babies. What I love about Steve Madden is that they create shoes that you would see on the runway but at a price we can all afford! AND you are not sacrificing quality! I have so many Steve Madden shoes that are total favorites!
For this look I paired my denim spiked beauties with denim on denim and chose to go with a relaxed cuffed denim to really let the shoes have a moment! I’m loving this jean fit right now btw. I finished the look with a graphic tee and a this bone leather jacket that is so spring!
There are so many great Steve Madden shoes from spring that I thought I would give you all my must have picks! AND did I mention they are ALL under $100! Happy shopping!
Thank so much for reading along ladies and I hope you liked this post and getting a bit more insight to my world.
Thank you Steve Madden for sponsoring this post.

Hi guys, happy Taco Tuesday! I am so excited to share this post because it is all about spring feels and my recent trip to the Bahamas! One of the things I am most grateful for is the amazing destinations I get to visit and the wonderful experiences that i never would have dreamed possible! Last week was nothing short of magical!
We started our girls getaway in Miami for a few days and had such a blast! Miami is one of my all time favorite cities, it oozes sexy tropical vibes! I have some friends there and it was so great to catch up. Next we visited the magical Bakers Bay Resort and where hosted by our dear friend Ivana in her home for the rest of our getaway! We took a private sea plane to the island; a total first for us and so crazy exciting! We spent our days by the pool drinking rose and enjoying the laid back island life and of course taking tons of photos and being creative together.
When I was shopping for this trip the first place I went to was Intermix because they seriously have the best selection for vacation vibez. Their spring picks are on trend, effortless and so easy to mix into my already existing wardrobe.
For a visit to the cutest tequila bar I wore it with this Asymmetrical mini in my favorite color ever, army green! I really gravitate to army green for vacation as it pairs like a neutral but still feels light enough for resort. My favorite thing I picked up was this cute Intermix Exclusive cropped white tee! I know it sounds too simple BUT let me tell you about the power of a perfectly fitting white tee! I love the updated cropped shape and it is so soft with the best drape. I ended up wearing it in every way possible! I even wore it as a beach cover up when my shoulders got a bit burned ha! I then finished the look with easy patent plexi wedges, a trend that is all the rage right now. I wore these from beach to cocktails, super comfortable and so easy to walk in. And in the evening to watch the sunset I did switch to my new Golden Goose sneakers that I have been wearing non stop!
I also wanted to share some of my favorite vacation ready pieces in case you have any upcoming trips coming up!! ;)
Thank you Intermix for partnering on this post.
