Your Complete Guide to Apres Ski

You girls know I love an apres ski moment, and will take any opportunity I can get to hit the slopes. There’s something about skiing that forces you to live in the moment and just be present that I love. It’s one of my favorite family activities, and the fashion is just a bonus. I know skiwear can get a bit pricey, so If you’re new skiing then I’m breaking it all down for you and sharing some more affordable options for you ladies. So, here’s your complete guide and everything you need for your next ski trip…

UNDERGARMENTS

First of all, the key to staying warm is dressing in layers. This thermal onesie is a complete game changer! I recommend tight fitting thermals and fleece leggings so they’ll fit underneath your pants and jacket. You can then layer sweaters over the top. This also makes it so you can shed that coat if you get hot.

COATS + SKI PANTS

This is an obvious must-have so for all my first time skiers out there, you can totally find more affordable skiwear that won’t break the bank. Amazon, ASOS and Aerie actually have a ton of options that are under $100. This Amazon jacket would totally work and is under $150. Skiing isn’t for everyone, especially for beginners, so I recommend testing the waters to make sure you like it before investing in more expensive pieces.

BOOTS & ACCESSORIES

If you’re planning a ski trip then you absolutely need a pair of waterproof boots! Not only will you need them to and from the lodge, but with snow and slush they’re an absolute must. You girls know I love my Moon Boots, but you can’t go wrong with a pair like this either. You’ll also need gloves or mittens, goggles, a helmet, a gaitor if it’s really cold, and tall thick socks - not only do they keep your feet warm, but ski boots aren’t exactly the most comfortable so they keep your feet protected. I also always pack a few hand warmers - just trust!
